Sumter man heaps praise on local Shakespeare production

Saturday night (May 12) I was looking for something to do and noticed that the Sumter Area Family Educators' (SAFE) Shakespeare Class was going to present Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" within the hour.

So I headed over to the First Assembly of God church on Alice Drive because I have enjoyed that particular production in the past at other venues and was curious.

But I wasn't prepared for a home-schooled class of potential thespians who acted that night.

Ms. Diane Parker and the entire cast are to be congratulated for providing an entertaining and enjoyable evening.

The cast took its production seriously and only a couple of giggles gave away the ad-libbing that happened sparingly.

Although there were no microphones, the cast projected its voices well enough that they could all be heard throughout the facility.

The scenery was beautiful and added greatly to the enjoyment.

Kudos, not only to Ms. Parker, but also the cast composed of Ethan Hall. Kieran Ullery, Micaiah Cohee, Jayde Torres, Christopher Sneider, Devany Ullery, Corbin Stewart, Gus Tuttle, Dean Banar, Cameron Stewart, Alicia Sneider, Ethan O'Shields, Josh Kovalcik, Madison Morehouse, Hannah Kovalcik, Caleb O'Shield and AJ Hinkle.

Thank you for providing an enjoyable evening. I only have one thing left to say: Bravo!
