A 24-year-old man was arrested after reportedly taking money to make repairs on a truck that he never rendered.

Dalton Chase Hall was charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent, according to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office. Hall is accused of receiving $1,500 in the 8600 block of Black River Road on Aug. 4 to repair a 1995 GMC truck.

A Sept. 3 warrant claims Hall used the money for himself and did not make the agreed upon repairs, which the victim found out about after contacting Hall later. The truck had also been stripped down to the body and was missing the tires, motor and transmission.

He was arrested on Sept. 6 and taken to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Detention Center, where he had not yet been given bond as of Friday afternoon.
