Sumter man wins $1 million in S.C. Education Lottery

A Sumter lottery player overcame odds of 1 in 1,440,000 to win $1 million in the $1,000,000 Bonus Match game according to a news release from the S.C. Education Lottery.
Everything changed for the man when he scratched the ticket at the Four Way Food Mart on Pinewood Road in Sumter.
“I feel different,” the millionaire said.
“Seeing $1 MIL on the ticket didn’t look real,” he told lottery officials. “This will take care of me.”
Four Way Food Mart received a commission of $10,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
