Sumter woman turns self in for shooting incident

Update: Ashley Rose turned herself in today, according to Tonyia McGirt, public information officer for the Sumter Police  Department.

The Sumter Police Department is seeking help locating a suspect involved in a shooting incident Friday.

Rose, 20, of Flamingo Road, was identified as a suspect in a shooting incident at her home after 11 a.m. Friday, McGirt said.

No one was injured, but gunfire struck a vehicle with a child inside, McGirt said.

Rose is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 230 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

A cash reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
