Sumter-Palmetto Rotary Club installs Little Free Libraries in city's HOPE Centers

The Sumter-Palmetto Rotary Club recently completed a service project to install three Little Free Library kiosks throughout Sumter, one in each of the city's HOPE Centers. Members went on Thursday to install the kiosks, which were donated from a private funder and stocked with books donated by members. The libraries encourage anyone to take a book for free and/or donate books to the library, creating a cycle of reading and sharing. Books span titles for both children and adults. The Birnie HOPE Center is at 210 S. Purdy St., the North HOPE Center is at 904 N. Main St., and the South HOPE Center is at 1125 S. Lafayette Drive.
