Sumter police seek information for armed robbery

Sumter Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning on Broad Street.

According to the agency, the robbery occurred before 3:15 a.m. at a Broad Street/Stamey Livestock Road convenience store. Three masked men, one with a handgun and two with long guns, entered the store and demanded money before leaving with an undetermined amount of cash and merchandise. No one was injured during the robbery, the agency said.

After robbing the store, the suspects then drove away in an unknown direction.

In photos posted to the agency’s Facebook page, the suspects are seen wearing dark colored hoodies and pants.

A cash reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
