Sumter police seeking information on shooting along Boulevard Road

Sumter Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a vehicle suspected to be involved in a shooting Saturday morning. 

At about 11 a.m., a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen, was seen near the A&P Coastal Mart after a shooting on Boulevard Road, according to the agency’s Facebook post about the shooting. 

The victim, whose name has not been released, is 25 years old and was transported to an area hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
