Sumter School Board to hold training workshop Tuesday

Sumter School District’s Board of Trustees will have a workshop training session on roles and responsibilities for board members on Tuesday morning at the district office.

A district spokeswoman distributed a meeting agenda on Sunday.

Scheduled training sessions are necessary whenever new members come onto the board. The district’s nine-member board currently has five new members after the November general election.

Tuesday’s workshop is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. at the district office, 1345 Wilson Hall Road.

The board regular monthly meeting for January is scheduled for next Monday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m. at Alice Drive Elementary School.
