Sumter School District bus transportation committee to meet Tuesday

Sumter School District's new bus transportation study committee will have its second meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Committee Chairman Brian Alston made the announcement Monday at the trustees' regular monthly work session.

Originally formed by the full school board in December, the ad hoc committee met for the first time on Jan. 21. Other committee members include Sherril Ray and Shawn Ragin.

The meeting will be at the district office, 1345 Wilson Hall Road. Like all board-related meetings, the public can attend. Public participation will not be on the agenda, however.
