Sumter School District's 5 virtual ceremonies run from Thursday through Saturday

Sumter School District will be honoring high school graduates in a total of five virtual ceremonies later this week.

A district spokeswoman confirmed the details Tuesday with The Sumter Item.

All virtual commencement ceremonies will stream from YouTube Premier, according to Shelly Galloway, the district's executive director of communication and community engagement. A link will be posted on the district's website at sumterschools.net as well as its Facebook and Twitter pages. FTC will also broadcast all five ceremonies on FTC Now Channel 26 on digital TV at the same time as they are playing on the district's social media platforms.

The scheduled lineup of ceremonies is as follows:

- Sumter Career and Technology Center: Thursday, 6 p.m.

128 graduates - these seniors also participate in home school graduation ceremonies at the three high schools

- Sumter Adult Education: Thursday, 7:30 p.m.

28 graduates

- Crestwood High School: Friday, 9 a.m.

249 graduates

- Lakewood High School: Friday, 1 p.m.

228 graduates

- Sumter High School: Saturday, 9 a.m.

478 graduates
