Sumter Today: School board candidates speak at a forum for the election

Last night, we went to a forum for the candidates running for the Sumter School Board. There are a lot of people to choose from on Nov. 6, including eight who are running for two at-large seats that any voter in Sumter County can choose between. The Sumter Teacher Forum organized the event and gave the candidates questions ranging from teacher pay to school safety to their preferred qualities of the next superintendent.
