Sumter Today: Students at R.E. Davis get a golden award

The Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce runs a Golden Apple Student Award program that recognizes public school students who show excellence in character traits like integrity, perseverance and altruism. Sponsors from the community participate in the program by giving out the award and attending a ceremony, and R.E. Davis College Preparatory Academy was the most recent school to receive a golden apple award.
