Sumter Today: The Sumter Police Department spends Valentines Day at elementary schools

For Valentines Day yesterday, officers from the Sumter Police Department visited elementary schools in Sumter School District to hand out cards that included police badges. The department keeps a focus on community engagement, and this was just another way to connect with Sumter residents, especially the youngest ones and possibly future generation of law enforcement.
