Sumter Today: April 8th in Sumter is Ja Morant Day

Dalzell's own Ja Morant made national fame this basketball season by exploding into fame with the Murray State Racers, leading them to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. He just announced he is foregoing his final two seasons in college to declare for the NBA draft, and yesterday came home to his alma mater at Crestwood High School, where the city and county proclaimed April 8th Ja Morant Day and gave him the key to the city before he did a dunk demonstration for the crowd.
