Sumter Today: The Ninth Air Force marks a change of command at Shaw Air Force Base

Major General Scott Zobrist officially retired from a three-decade military career and passed command to General Chad Franks at an official change of command ceremony late last week. Zobrist and his wife will retire right here in Sumter, as the community welcomed Franks, who came most recently from serving as deputy commander for Operation Inherent Resolve and the fight against ISIS.
