Sumter Today: The community shows its appreciation for our local military

Each year the Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce holds a military appreciation picnic out at Shaw Air Force Base to say thank you to the airmen for being a part of the Sumter community. Vendors representing different groups throughout Sumter were set up in Hangar 1200 with free gifts and door prices while Piggly Wiggly provided food.
