Sumter Today: Sumter County celebrates Veterans Day

Hundreds lined Main Street Monday for the county’s annual Veterans Day parade and ceremony downtown at the old courthouse. Officials said this was the biggest parade they’ve put on in the six years they’ve been doing it. At the end of the ceremony, 34 vets who had been randomly selected were honored and given an American flag and proclamation.
