Sumter Today: A Jedi helps teach kids about social courage

David Engel is a longtime family entertainer who brought his educational show to the Sumter Opera House. His Jedi Academy teaches kids about anti-bullying and helps them understand how to live with empathy and social courage. The show introduced kids to Panniken Moonjumper, a true master of intergalactic fun and adventure. During the program, the little jedi warriors, princesses and darth vaders learned how to feel empowered to discover the great Force within their own hearts. Please be sure to stop by our Best of Sumter nominee expo tomorrow from 4 to 6 at Central Carolina Technical College’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Training Center located at 853 Broad Street. There will be booths featuring dozens of vendors who are nominated for our Best of Sumter 2020 contest, and they’ll be offering information about their business and giving out free swag.
