Sumter Today: Students commemorate Black History Month

High Hills Elementary School held its Black History Month program yesterday and invited Sumter School District Superintendent Penelope Martin-Knox to be their guest speaker. The program was completely student run and included a living history museum where students dressed as some of the most influential black people in recent history, almost all having their impact in STEM fields.
