Sumter Today: We give you local updates on the coronavirus

Posted

For more than two years, our Sumter Today team has been bringing you the lighter side of news in our community. We’ve shown you all the encouraging, the humorous, the beautiful, the impressive, the inspiring things that make Sumter, Lee and Clarendon Counties such great places to live. But as the country and world grapple with the ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic and response, our staff at The Sumter Item must figure out how to bring you the information you need and want, in a rapidly changing local landscape. We will continue to run Sumter Today episodes of the good deeds and efforts people all over this region are doing, but we’ll also be constantly updating our website and giving you the day’s recap in audio form at the end of every day.
