Sumter Today: A basketball tournament honors the life of a former Sumter player and brings mentorship to young athletes

The Diamond-Stackz Classic is an annual basketball tournament to remember and celebrate the life of Erick White, a basketball standout for Sumter High School who tragically died in 2015.
That same year, a fundraiser game was held in his honor, and it has turned into an annual event since.
As the tournament approaches this year, its directors are now adding a mentorship program and leadership experience, so we sat down with the directors to learn more.
