Shaquanda Miller-McCray has had an unexpected last year or so.
With COVID-19 hampering her senior year at Georgia State, the Crestwood High School alum didn’t get the attention she thought she could have from the WNBA. Growing up only a year apart from and training with another Crestwood standout, this year’s NBA Rookie of the Year Ja Morant, Miller-McCray found her team and is set to head to Serbia, where she will become the Knights’ first female athlete to go pro. We met her at Riley Park this week to learn more about her story.
