Sumter Today: Friday, May 1 Coronavirus Update

South Carolina has reported 6,258 COVID-19 cases and 256 deaths, according to Friday's update from the state Department of Health and Environmental Control.

Friday's update included an additional three deaths in Clarendon County, bringing the county's total to 20, lower only than Greenville and Richland counties.

As of Friday, Sumter had 230 cases and 11 deaths, Clarendon 214 cases and 21 deaths and Lee 65 cases and seven deaths.
