Sumter Today: High school basketball returns to Clarendon County with a premiere girls matchup

Posted

Clarendon County got two matchups this week of the same two Top 10 1A girls basketball teams that have two of the area and state’s most exciting players.

Talaysia Cooper and the Lady Wolverines of third-ranked East Clarendon High School went up against Number 9 Scott’s Branch and Cambria Parker.

Cooper is making waves in just her sophomore year, and Parker is the two-time defending 1A player of the year. We stopped by last night for their rematch after the Lady Wolverines took Game One on Monday.
