Sumter Today: Prisma Health expands its vaccine clinic in Sumter

Prisma Health has been running its Sumter-based vaccine clinic at Tuomey Hospital, but that site has been closed for the last few days for staff can move to a larger site.

Starting Monday, March 15, those making appointments to get their COVID-19 vaccine through Prisma and Tuomey will go to the Sumter County Civic Center, which is where the county fair is.

Six people from the Sumter community volunteered to get their shot today so the Prisma team, in partnership with the city and county as well as the S.C. National Guard, and we were on hand to give you a behind the scenes look at Sumter’s new vaccine clinic.
