Sumter Today: Sumter’s U.S. ARCENT aviators celebrate the branch’s 38 years of service with training

Sumter-based U.S. Army Central aviators conducted a joint training mission with the U.S. Air Force and South Carolina Army National Guard on Monday in celebration of the U.S. Army’s Aviation Branch’s 38th birthday.

The National Guard landed three U.S. Army aircrafts at Shaw Air Force Base on Monday, where ARCENT’s aviators trained in an emergency preparedness exercise, including the safe set-up and landing helicopters.
