Most of our coverage is free right now. We’re doing that as a public service, but, like every other business, we need support to survive. We’ve asked before, and we’re asking again that if you don’t already have a subscription to The Sumter Item, please get one. Our local news won’t always be free, and we need to make sure we can sustain long enough to make it past this crisis. Go to theitem.com/subscribe to support local news in your community today.
