Sumter Today: We meet the star of this weekend’s Nutcracker coming to Patriot Hall

Miyah LaGrant has been dancing for five years and already has made a name for herself in the Midlands. The 11-year-old will take the stage on Saturday at Patriot Hall to perform the role of Clara in the Columbia City Ballet rendition of the Nutcracker. Miyah is the first dancer from Sumter to be cast in the leading role in more than a decade, and we sat down with her at her dance studio at Miss Libby’s School of Dance and Gymnastics to learn more about her.
