The 20th-Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Walk was held Monday starting at the USC Sumter Nettles Building. Lefford Fate, service director for the City of Sumter, spoke during a ceremony after walkers had completed the three-mile route to celebrate King's life and contributions during the Civil Rights Movement. The Dream Walk was sponsored by USC Sumter, Morris College and Central Carolina Technical College.
