"It's a fun event," Larry Perkins, former club president, said. "The parents, no doubt, will enjoy watching the kids. There will be running, crawling, jumping, crisscrossing, you name it. They'll have a ball."
This year's event will consist of 15 obstacles in the course, various yard games, music, demonstrations from local martial arts, fitness and dance teams. The event will also feature more than a dozen community partner vendors.
The children's obstacle course will help promote respect for law enforcement and physical fitness. The organization's goal is to have local law enforcement agencies help kids through obstacles in the course, symbolizing how the everyday heroes help children and adults prevail over obstacles in their life.
The free event is from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and concessions will be available for sale from community partners.
