Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital offers opportunities to get flu vaccine

Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital’s drive-thru COVID-19 testing site will begin offering flu immunizations Tuesday, Oct. 6. Flu vaccines will be available weekdays, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. At this site insurance will be processed since most insurance plans fully cover the cost of vaccinations. A reduced cost for self-pay patients will  be given by offering a discount for those paying at the time of service.

Prisma Health is also co-sponsoring free flu clinics with S.C. DHEC. The flu clinics are primarily drive-through and target children and adults. The free site for Sumter will be held 9 a.m.–1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, at Sumter High School, 2580 McCrays Mill Rd. No registration or appointment is needed for this free flu clinic.
