CHARLESTON - Laurence Manning Academy's varsity football team stayed undefeated in SCISA 3A, edging First Baptist in overtime 39-31.

The Swampcats are 6-0 overall on the season and 5-0 in SCISA 3A action. The Hurricanes fell to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in 3A play.

COLUMBIA - Crestwood High School lost to A.C. Flora 49-7 in its Region IV-4A opener on Friday at the ACF field.

The Knights dropped to 2-3 on the season, while the Falcons stayed unbeaten, improving to 6-0 in winning their region opener

Manning 51

NORTH CHARLESTON - Manning High School opened its Region VII-3A schedule with a 51-0 victory over Academic Magnet on Friday at the AM field.

The Monarchs improved to 2-3 overall. Academic Magnet dropped to 1-3 and 0-1.

Hannah-Pamplico 40

East Clarendon 14

PAMPLICO - East Clarendon fell to 1-2 in Region VII-2A with a 40-14 loss to Hannah-Pamplico on Friday at the H-P field.

The Wolverines are 3-3 overall. Pamplico improved to 3-3 and 2-1.

Branchville 32

Scott's Branch 0

BRANCHVILLE - Scott's Branch High School lost to Branchville 32-0 in its Region V-1A opener on Friday at the BHS field.

The Eagles fell to 1-6 overall. Branchville improved to 6-1 in winning its region opener.

Laurens Academy 22

SUMMERTON - Clarendon Hall remained undefeated on the season with a 44-22 victory over Laurens Academy on Friday at Robinson Field.

The Saints improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in SCISA Region II in 8-man football. Laurens dropped to 2-3 and 1-2.
