ATLANTA — Tameka “Ronnie” Holiday, 40, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at her home in Atlanta. She was the daughter of the late Henry Jefferson and Thelma Taylor Bennett. She was born June 17, 1970, in Manning.

She received her formal education at Chancellor Avenue and graduated from Weequahic High School, Newark, N.J. She was currently enrolled in college studying psychology.

She was a volunteer for the Heart Foundation in Atlanta.

Survivors are four sisters: Ashley (Micheal) Moses, Tabitha Bennett and Gina Bennett, all of Manning, and Tracy Bennett of Gainesville, Fla.; adoptive mother Annie Holiday of Alcolu; four adoptive sisters; three brothers; two aunts, Dora (Nathaniel) Dyson and Lena Mack, both of Manning; and one uncle, Louis Bennett of Manning.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Hayes F. & LaNelle J. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, with the Rev. Al Smiling, officiating, assisted by Evangelist Dora Dyson and the Rev. Effie Hilton.

Family will receive friends at the chapel beginning at 1 p.m. until the hour of services.
