Tammy Tidwell Preusser (Jensen), 59, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born May 21, 1962, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Charlie Wayne Tidwell Sr. and Dorothy McCarthy Tidwell. Ms. Preusser attended Alice Drive Baptist Church. She received an associate degree in dental hygiene from Florence Darlington Technical College and worked as a pharmacy tech for Rite Aid for nearly 20 years. She loved spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens.

Survivors, in addition to her mother of Sumter and father and stepmother, Becky Tidwell of Alabama, include two daughters, Veronica Richardson (Stephen) and Rachel Lee (Matthew Welch), both of Sumter; three sons, Richard Preusser, Wesley Lee (Angela) and Christopher Lee (Tiffany), all of Sumter; one grandson, Dalton Jensen; four sisters, Angie Winefeldt (LaVerne) of Sumter, Debbie Bryars (Kevin), Julie Thomaston (Dan) and Sarah Patton (Jason), all of Alabama; two special nieces, Courtney Winefeldt (Esmonde Levy) and Brittney Eberle (Leland); a special nephew, Michael Winefeldt (Shelby Baugh); and a number of other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Wayne Tidwell Jr., and her first husband, Robert Preusser.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, 12 Lawton Circle.
