GOVERNMENT - The following are closed today: state government offices; City of Sumter offices; Sumter County offices; Clarendon County offices; City of Manning offices; Lee County offices; and City of Bishopville offices.

SCHOOLS - The following are closed today: Sumter School District, Clarendon School District 2, Clarendon School District 4, Lee County Public Schools, Thomas Sumter Academy, Holy Angels Academy, Clarendon Hall, Lee Academy, Wilson Hall, Laurence Manning Academy, Sumter Christian School, USC Sumter, Central Carolina Technical College and Morris College.

UTILITIES - Black River Electric Coop. and Farmers Telephone Coop. are closed today.

OTHER - Clemson Extension Service and the Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce remain closed through today.

The Sumter County Library and the Harvin Clarendon County Library remain closed through Sunday.

The Sumter Item will close at 2 p.m. today.
