THELMA LUCILLE FLOYD BAXLEY

Thelma Lucille Floyd Baxley, 86, widow of Leonard Dozier Baxley Sr., died on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, at NHC of Sumter.

Born in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Cole Blease Floyd and Leola Miles Floyd. A devoted homemaker, Thelma was a member of Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are three sons, Leonard D. Baxley Jr. (Lynn) of Summerton, Larry Baxley (Johnnie M.) and Linwood D. Baxley, both of Sumter.

She was preceded in death by a son, Rickey A. Baxley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Lake Chapel Cemetery in Johnsonville.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
