Townes-Lewis

Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Mark Townes of Sumter announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Elizabeth Townes of Charleston, to Walter Elliot Lewis of Charleston, son of Ms. Karen Lewis of Jackson, Georgia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Thomas L. Beasley and the late Mr. Beasley of Lebanon, Tennessee, the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnny L. Boyles of Kingsport, Tennessee, the late Chiquitta S. Boyles of Kingsport, Tennessee, and the late Mr. Arthur R. Townes of Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is employed by the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston as a cardiovascular operating room registered nurse. She is also the owner of Holy City Party in Charleston.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee of Pineview, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance. He is employed by Truist Bank in Charleston as a senior vice president investment manager.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 25, 2024, at The Constantine House in Aiken, South Carolina.
