The American Legion baseball third-round state playoffs series between the Sumter P-15's and Goose Creek Post 166 was pushed back a day due to Tuesday's Game 2 at Riley Park being postponed due to rain.

The second game in the best-of-5 series was scheduled to be played on Wednesday at Riley Park beginning at 7 p.m. The third game is set for Thursday at Cane Bay High School's Cobra Field in Summerville with games 4 and 5, if necessary, set for Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Sumter leads the series 1-0 after a 10-7 win on Monday.

The third-round series between Camden and Florence was also spushed back a day after Tuesday's Game 2 was postponed due to rain as well.

Florence leads the series 1-0 after beating Camden 4-3 on Monday in Florence. The second game was set for Wednesday in Camden.

The other two third-round series did get their second games in on Tuesday. Fort Mill took a 2-0 lead over Gaffney with a 9-5 victory, while Greer evened its series with Greenwood with a 10-8 victory.

The winners of the four series will begin play in the double-elimination state tournament on Monday. The first games will be played on Monday at home sites with the winners of the two lower state series - Sumter versus Goose Creek and Camden versus Florence - facing each other, and the upper state series winners facing each other.

The tournament will move to Columbia on Wednesday, July 31, and Segra Park, home of the minor league Columbia Fireflies. The losers and winners of Monday's games will face each other that day.

The tournament is scheduled to run through Friday, July 2.

Like last year, both the state champion and the runner-up will advance to the Southeast Regional.
