Valli's owner died, leaving her without a family or home

Posted

Valli ended up at animal control because her owner died. The family came to make arrangements but, sadly, no one could give Valli a home. At first, she was sad and confused and unsure about her new situation. She has adjusted well and is friendly to other dogs and the volunteers who walk her. This sweetie is 3-5 years old and weighs 37 pounds. Unfortunately, she is heartworm positive. It seems this poor lady was allowed to have several litters. Valli needs a new loving home where she can feel safe and wanted. As with all of our adoptable dogs, we do require a spay or neuter agreement, and it is strictly enforced. Proof of spay/neuter after adoption will be required. We have many other adoptable dogs as well as animals who were found and are waiting for their owners to claim them. Check Sumter Animal Control on Facebook. Call the adoption coordinator at (803) 774-3232 to set up a meet and greet or email at rescuesumtersc@gmail.com.
