VERNELL PUGH CUBIT

FLORENCE - On Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, Vernell Pugh Cubit, wife of Sampson Cubit Sr., heard her master's call at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

Born on Nov. 10, 1938, in Paxville, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Sr. and Beulah Bethune Pugh.

A service celebrating her life will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday at The Faith Center, 2935 Raccoon Road, Manning, where the Rev. John Nelson will preside. The Rev. Major Lloyd, pastor, will bring words of hope. The service of committal will follow in the Cubit family plot located at The Faith Center Cemetery, Boyd Road and U.S. 15 South.

Public viewing will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.

The family is receiving relatives and friends from 1 to 9 p.m. at the residence, 214 Dyson St.
