VERNON LEE MYERS

Vernon Lee Myers, known as "Vern," was born on June 7, 1962, and departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021.

Vernon was born in Brooklyn, New York, the third child of six born to the union of his mother, Lillie Mae Myers of Brooklyn, and the late John Wesley Myers.In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during all visitation at the home, 920 Collins St., Sumter.

Celebration of life services will be held at noon today in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Myers, eulogist, and the Rev. Cynthia Myers officiating.

The procession will leave the home at 11:15 a.m.

Burial will be at Unionville AME Churchyard cemetery, 1330 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville.
