VIRGINIA FLORENCE A. AMUNDSON

Virginia Florence Anthony Amundson, 96, widow of Raymond Edward Amundson, died on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on Nov. 16, 1923, in Spokane, Washington, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Annie Grace Couch Anthony. She was an avid bridge player.

Survivors include three children, Ann DeLoach (Charles) of Wedgefield, Ginna Amundson of Rainier, Washington, and Nadine Pappas of Troy, Missouri; three grandchildren, Laura Bach (Justin), Carla Pappas and Kararae Goins (Henry); three great-grandchildren, Alex, Gavin and Hank; a brother, Richard Anthony of Virginia; and a sister, Verna Baker of Washington.

A private service will be held in Washington at a later date.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
