Virginia Ruth Lineberger Welch, 84, widow of Charles Welch, died on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Sumter Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Addie Thornberg Lineberger.
Surviving are a son, Gary Armstrong of Virginia; a daughter, Karen Hudson of Sumter; two sisters, Cloteen Rogers and Betty Smith, both of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her dear friend and caregiver, Faye McFarland of Sumter.
Services will be private.
