Voting open through Feb. 28 for annual 2023 Best of Clarendon readers' choice contest

The nominations have been made, the finalists chosen.

Voting begins today for The Sumter Item's 2023 Best of Clarendon readers' choice contest.

From restaurants and businesses to school teachers, medical services, community events, automotive repair and much more, more than 200 winners will be announced, with the reveal at the annual Best of Clarendon: The Red Carpet Event on Thursday, May 18, at The Matrix Center in Manning. More than 1,300 nominated businesses, people, events and everything that the community deems the very best in the area were submitted.

Vote once per day in every category through Feb. 28. There is no purchase or subscription necessary to vote or win. All winners who receive the most votes in their respective category will receive a free Best of Clarendon window cling and framed certificate and will also be listed for free in the annual Best of Clarendon magazine online at www.theitem.com/bestofclarendon2023.
