WEDGEFIELD — Wade Amos Spencer, 80, beloved husband of 45 years to Rachel Eunice Handy Spencer, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at his residence.
Born in Patrick County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Raymond Troy Spencer and Florence Jane Roberson (Charles). He will be remembered as a very loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by: a son, Brad Spencer; a stepdaughter, Sheila Solomon; a sister, Mary Ellen Nolen (Carl); grandchildren, Krista Bullard and Brittany Mason, Melissa Halbert (Mitchell), Ryne Kesterson (Amanda), Daniel Solomon and Matthew Solomon; and great-grandchildren, Austin Bullard, Ethan Halbert, Blake Mason, Abigail Halbert and Elizabeth Bullard.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Kesterson (Guy), and a brother, Gary Lee Roberson (Linda).
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 1-2 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held after the visitation on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating.
