Wells Fargo Bank, National Association, recently gave a $5,000 grant to the Central Carolina Technical College Foundation to help the college's students with academic scholarships. Central Carolina's foundation is the charitable arm of the area technical college.

"We are thrilled to have received this contribution from Wells Fargo, N.A. to provide scholarships to our students," said Director of Development and Alumni Misty Hatfield in a news release. "Many of our students at CCTC face financial hardships. This funding provides support so students can continue their dream of a college education."

According to the release, the foundation has identified two deserving students for the scholarships for the upcoming school year. Nursing student Molly Duggan will receive $2,500, and Engineering Design Technology student Jovaune Nugent will receive $2,500 to assist with tuition and books.

"Supporting education is an important and long-term investment," said Wells Fargo Pee Dee Market President Kevin Gause. "Today's college students are tomorrow's business owners and leaders, and we are honored to work together with CCTC to provide them with financial support."
