What you need to know to publish debutantes in The Sumter Item for 2022

Individual photos of debutantes along with club information will publish in the Nov. 27-29 Weekend Edition of The Sumter Item. Deadline is noon Nov. 14.

Please email information and photos to rhonda@theitem.com. Payment of $50 per individual photo should be mailed to Michelle Lee at The Sumter Item, 36 W. Liberty St., Sumter SC 29150. Payment must be made prior to publication.

Group photos with cutlines will run on space-available basis following each club's debutante ball. Cost for publication of a group photo is $100. Photos and information should be emailed to rhonda@theitem.com. Payment should be sent to above address.

Below is an example of a prior year’s debutante announcement. Please use it as a guideline when submitting your club’s information.

MANNING - The Azalea Ball Cotillion will present eight debutantes at its annual ball on Dec. 30, 2021, at the Matrix Center.

Rollin Grace Barwick, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shannon Dwayne Barwick, will be presented by her father and escorted by Kyle Horton and Ryder Hudson.

Jordan Rushing Gardner, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ferell Gardner Jr., will be presented by her father and escorted by Robert Reames Gardner and Ken Dawson Wilkins.

Elizabeth Kathleen Hussey, daughter of Mr. Robert Warren Hussey and Ms. Barbara Faires, will be presented by her uncle and escorted by Averitt Jackson Spencer Jordan and Linwood Ashwell Robinson IV. She is sponsored by her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Vann Page II.

Grace Marie Joyner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Keith Joyner, will be presented by her father and escorted by Brian Keith Joyner Jr. and Grayson Tanner Harrelson.

Elizabeth Danielle McInnis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stacey Robert McInnis, will be presented by her father and escorted by Robert Reese McInnis and Stephen Burke Clarke.

Reedy Buyck Newton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Weston Jones Newton Jr., will be presented by her father and escorted by William Otis Buyck III and Maximillian James Lowery. She is sponsored by her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. William Otis Buyck Jr.

Reilly Grace Ray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Joseph Guzman, will be presented by her father and escorted by Frank Carroll Bleasdale III and Ronald Maurice Joye III.

Sarah Faye Turner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Darrell Turner, will be presented by her father and escorted by Joharie Larue Godwin III and Luck DeCosta.

Mr. Michael Anthony Ouzts is the president of the Azalea Ball Cotillion. Mrs. Bonham Kenneth Gardner is the ball chairwoman, and Mrs. James Paul Eaddy is the debutante chairwoman.
