Wilhemina Gregg Richardson, 63, departed this earthly life on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Born on Jan. 11, 1955, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of Mae Bell Gregg and raised by her stepfather, Robert Loney. She attended the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Mayewood High School Class of 1974. She was a dedicated and hard worker, who worked at the Silver Moon Caf and Holiday Inn in Myrtle Beach for several years. She later retired due to health issues. Wilhemina was a woman who loved God, her family and friends. At an early age, she joined Beulah AME Church under the watchful eyes of God, her pastor and her devoted grandmother, the late Mary Gregg, who raised her and taught her Christian values.

She leaves to cherish precious memories: her husband, Ernest Richardson; children, Michael Richardson Sr. and friend, Shondau Kennedy, Anthony Richardson and friend, Tesheka Wells, and Hope (Curtis) Wallace, all of Sumter; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two aunts, Bishop Mary Gregg Watkins of Coney Island, New York, and Sarah Gregg of Sumter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family received relatives and friends at the home, 108 E. Charlotte Ave., Sumter.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter. The Rev. Drusilla Harvin officiated, eulogist.

Burial was at Beulah AME Churchyard Cemetery, Sumter.
