William Alexander “Billy” Burrows, 74, husband of Debbie Christmas Burrows, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey, Sumter.
Born Aug. 31, 1950, in Sumter, he was a son of the late James Richardson Burrows and the late Virginia Reynolds Burrows. He was a member of Bethesda Church of God and served as a notary public. He was a co-owner of Ace Parker Tire Company.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years; a daughter, Heather Burrows Green (Jimmy) of Sumter; three granddaughters, Autumn Green, McKenzie Volnoff (Bryan) and Brooklyn Green; and siblings, Kathy Dennis (Joe), Sammy Burrows (Kathy W.), Clark Burrows (Kathy S.), Stan Burrows and Rey Burrows; a sister-in-law, Laura Burrows; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Jimmy Burrows and Doris Burrows.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at Bethesda Church of God officiated by Pastor Al Sims, Bishop Edward Fleming, D.Min., and Bishop Dr. Julian Galloway, Ph.D. Burial will be in the St. Philips Episcopal Church Cemetery, 1074 St. Philip’s Road, Dalzell.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to St. Philip’s Church Bradford Springs, in care of Sammy Burrows, 6635 Dubose Siding Road, Sumter, SC 29153.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for the care and compassion that was given during his rehab stay at NHC Healthcare.
