WILLIAM HAROLD SHEPARD

William Harold Shepard, 73, husband of Katherine Ann Bennett Shepard, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.

Born on April 24, 1948, in Canandaigua, New York, he was a son of the late Harold Shepard and Madelyn Foote Babcock. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Seabees. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed spending time restoring a 1948 Studebaker truck.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years; two children, Christopher William Shepard (Rebecca) of Seattle, Washington, and Jennifer Carey Hineman (Scott) of Sumter; and two grandchildren, Jarett and Liam.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
